Air Force Association Award

Cadets may only receive this award once. This AFAsponsored award and is presented annually at each unit to the outstanding second-year (in a 3- year program) or third-year cadet (in a 4-year program). Ribbon for this award may be worn on the cadet’s ribbon rack and worn on regular uniform days. Medals will not be worn on regular uniform days or during any type of competition. 7.7.6.1. The award recipient must possess/meet the following personal characteristics and eligibility criteria:

• Top 1% of the cadets in a unit in the following areas, academics, leadership, and professionalism.

• Positive attitude (toward AFJROTC and school).

• Outstanding personal appearance (uniform and grooming).

• Display personal attributes such as initiative, judgment, and self-confidence. Courteous demeanor (promptness, obedience, and respect for customs).
